Railway convert Sleeper Class coaches to second class

To provide more accommodation to the second class sitting passengers, Eastern Railway has arranged to convert Sleeper Class coaches of some trains to second class unreserved & reserved coaches during day journey.

As such, out of two Sleeper Class coaches of 53175 Sealdah-Lalgola Passenger, o­ne is being converted to unreserved second class and o­ne to reserved second class coach. In 53178 Lalgola-Sealdah Passenger, out of three Sleeper Class coaches, two are converted as unreserved second class and o­ne to reserved second class coach. Reservation charges is Rs. 15/- o­nly for the reserved coaches.

Besides, three Sleeper Class coaches of 13063 Howrah-Balurghat Exp., two Sleeper Class coaches of 13418 Malda Town-Digha Exp. & both the Sleeper Class coaches of 13241 Banka-Rajendranagar Exp. will be treated as second class reserved coaches from the first week of September, 2015.
