unidentified person made a vain bid to sell a three-month-old baby boy for Rs. 2,500

According to information, the man was seen with the baby at the railway station at around 5 a.m. and was heard asking a few persons on the platform, if they were interested in buying the baby.

The staff who watched him for a while, questioned him about the baby’s mother.

When he gave incoherent replies, they alerted the Government Railway Police (GRP), who informed the Women Development and Child Welfare (WD&CW) officials.
