RAC: Reservation Against Cancellation.

R= Got confirmed sharing seat after chart preparation.
The main Benefits of RAC Confirm passenger is
1) After Chart you got RAC Seat and if you don’t want travel, you can cancel tickets and you will be got refund same as Waiting list cancellation.
2) In this mode you are authorized to travel in reservation coach specially benefit for fully waiting list e-tickets passenger.
S11 71= The Same as Confirmed tickets. The Only difference is on the 71 number berth which is half allotted to you and Half allotted another person who have also RAC Confirm.

Note: Your ticket is 100% confirmed now. In peak season Railways adds additional sleeper coaches in trains which are known as RS.
Note: If you canceling a RAC ticket, it is treated just like a W/L ticket and you will almost get the same (full) refund as when you cancel a W/L ticket.
I booked ticket as RAC99 and now status is showing as WL/26/GN. What does it mean? kindly help.
check the current Status using http://www.indianrail.gov.in/enquiry/PNR/PnrEnquiry.html?locale=en link as i assume this is the booking status. Also possible while booking the list rising in seconds for pick seasons booking.

I get RS 12,47 what it means
Means Your Ticket Confirmed and You Got Seat No 47 in S12 Coach and R means RAC (Seat With Sharing with another Passenger who have same RS12, 47).

Means Coach-S2, Seat Number-71 and R(RAC)-Sharing Seat.
One More Passenger Have also same seat number and You Have to share seat with Him/her.

It Means Your Reservation Confirm But Birth and Coach Not allotted, Once Chart Prepared then Check the status of you PNR you will Get the Birth/Coach Number.

It means you Will Get Seat in Coach No S11 and Seat No 7 Half Seat.

No It’s Just RAC Number 61 it means There is 60 Person have RAC before you.
