According to the new changes, the track, which was earlier planned in front of the old Assembly building, will now go from behind the Assembly building. Also, while the rail track at Sultan Bazar will now go behind Koti Women’s College, the track will be realigned in the Old City and will now be going in the line of Musi River side.
At a meeting to review the progress of the Hyderabad metro rail project with the top officials of L&T, led by its chairman AM Naik, Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao assured the infrastructure company that the additional costs incurred due to the changes in the route alignment would be borne by the state government.
Infrastructure major Larsen and Toubro finally agreed to change it in three locations.
