If No Bill then Free Food Scheme for improving catering in trains from March 31 2018
As per News In order to cashless the vendors of the IRCTC, they will be given a Point of Sale (POS) handheld machine to remove the complaints of charging more of the goods.
1) Catering staff cannot refuse to give bills on any Orders while Journey:
In this regard, the Ministry of Railways has instructed to put this ‘information sheet’ on all the trains. Passengers complain that the catering service staff refuses to pay bills. No bill Books or other excuses are made for this.
New rules will apply in trains with Pantry cars from March 31, 2018. If the vendors refuse to give the bill then the license of the catering company will be canceled. The government has formed a special team to investigate the pantry car.
To Curb Complaints Vendors are being cashless. For this, it has been decided to give Point of Sale (POS) Handheld. Also Railways Already started this service in Karnataka Express between Bengaluru – New Delhi.
