Where and How to Book Retiring Rooms? OR
Step by Step instructions for How to book Online Retiring Rooms
- First please visit irctctourism.com (Type www.irctctourism.com in your internet browser OR Search Retiring Room in Google).
- Click on Accommodation, and then Click on “Railways Retiring Rooms”. Please see the below Page for Example.
Click on “Railways Retiring Rooms”. - Now Enter Your PNR No. (For Book Retiring Room You must Have Valid PNR Number) The Page Look Like this Just Enter your PNR Number as Given as in your Booked Ticket.
- After Making PNR Click On Search You will get the PNR details as Given below in the Page:
- If you want to book Retiring Room at source/originating station then click on ‘Book on source’ or if you want to book Retiring Room at destination station then click on ‘Book on destination’.
- Choose your Reservation source, Check in Date, Checkout date, Bed Type and A/C status.
- After Clicking “Book on source” if your Reservation Station does not show then click on “Book on Source Principal” or After Clicking “Book on Destination” if your Reservation Station does not show then click on “Book on Destination Principal”.
- After filling in all the details Please click on “Check Availability” (Check OR Uncheck Name as Per your requirement )
- It will show the occupancy availability with details.
- Select the Room no and Slot Duration that you would like to book. After selecting, click on “Proceed”. (Please follow the below picture for understand)
- It will redirect you to login page, login with your user name & password registered with IRCTC.If you are not registered user choose “Guest login”.
- You will get the complete booking details.
- For each passenger select “Room no” in which he/she would like to accommodate.
- Then select the Id card type and card No.
- Click on Proceed button.
- It will show complete booking details.
- Click on “Make Payment” for payment.
- Select you payment option.
- Now Done. Take Printout with you.

I am planning to book a retiring room at Secunderabad railway station, but when I enter my PNR, it says booking not allowed for your PNR, please help. Im travelling from Vizag to Secunderabad on 31st, and 1st evening I’m leaving back.

Is it possible to book a double room (if available) on a single ticket(by single ticket means – there is only one passenger who is travelling), however, the accommodation is required for two people?
Both will have the reserved tickets but not on the same PNR number because the arriving station is same not the departure station – hence different PNR Number.
Could you please confirm the same at the earliest?

Well as per Rules, You Can not. But Recommended Email to retiring room or call them they will provide you complete details.

Horrible experience, booked my ticket PNR 6552250975 around 10.28, trying to book retiring room at destination AVNT / NDLS.
Unable to go through beyond check availability, unexpected of Indian Railways, pathetic.

@rajesh for that you need to contact Retiring room Officer contact details available on this site. Many are Face this kind of issue and I tried with Retiring Officer nothing happen.
Suggestion: Approach Retiring Officer at the Station if you reach before 8.00 AM.
I m going to new jalpaiguri on 24th may by 12041 njp shatabdi express. For 24th i wanted to book ac retiring 2 beded retiring room. But when i m going to book online it shows the msg “PNR 6351665558 Slot is not available”. Plz suggest what to do.

Yes, You can book Double Bad Room Amount Approx Rs 350/- for Ordinary and Rs 550 for Deluxe Double Bed Rooms for 24 Hours.

As i told you on your previous comment, For Offline booking visit Relevant Station Retiring room Officer.
And for Book Online you need to Done Payment Via Banking from the given Website only.
Sir, I’m looking for a retiring room in Bangalore City Junction on 10th April, for which rooms are available.
I’m looking for retiring room from 3 AM to 5:30 AM (this is is my connecting junction, my next train at 6:15 AM) but the check in time is 8AM.
Can I make use of this service? or do I have any other option?

I booked train tickets for my family members from Pondicherry to Pune and we will reach Pune Railway station on 14.07.2016 at 2.10 am, as per the time table.
I want to book retiring rooms in Pune railway station for the family members from 2200 on 13.07.2016. But, on perusal of slot, I observed that there is no slot is available from the above time and the next slot time is available from 0800 on 14.07.2016. In the morning itself on 14.07.2016, I will vacate the room in Pune.

You can not check until you Have Valid PNR Number…..
I tried booking a room at mysuru junction – but it says “no room is available”, what else can be done? Can a room be booked on the spot at the station? or can it be prebooked from another railway station
May Be Yes and May be you tried to book slot was not available. Post your PNR with your Room details like date and time you want to stay. Will check and then can provide you confirm details.

I am not able to book the retiring room. It ‘s showing some message like : PNR No.:- xxxxxxxx, Slot is not Availble . IS there a time period like 30 days /60 days prior to the journey date we can book or how it is .
