Hawker stopped trains protest against removal of illegal possession
In the Baliganj-Myarhat section on Friday, the New Alipore railway station and surrounding encroachment campaign were launched. In the presence of RPF and GRP, railway officers broke the illegal construction. After this, on Sunday, around 11.30 pm, the railway officers joined the RPF and GRP in the wake of passenger safety in the Sealdah-Diamond Harbor section on the outskirts of Bayerpuria railway station.
The shops started breaking. Meanwhile a group of hawkers came in protest against the campaign. After this, the train was stopped by throwing the broken pieces on the rail track. Precautionary trains were blocked in the middle. The Hawker also called the attack on the team with stones lying on the track, in which several railway workers were injured. The RPF and GRP personnel who arrived from nearby police stations on the information dispersed the illegal hawkers. After this, the train operations were started by evacuating the track at around 1.25 pm.
