For the first time in India, such a railway project is going to start, in which two types of trains will run on the same railway track. It is being said that the Rapid Rail project will be started by March 2024. This train will run between Delhi and Meerut. The fare will be only 165 rupees. All coaches in the Rapid Rail will be of AC.
Travel from Delhi to Meerut can be done in just one hour. Let the speed of Rapid Rail be twice that of the metro, ie 160 km / hour. Only 24 stations will be set up between Delhi and Meerut. According to railway officials, there will be a coach of business class and separate coaches will be made for women and children.
According to railway sources, the train will start from Delhi’s Sarai Kale Khan and travel to Kaushambi via Ghaziabad. The railway track will be built on the banks of Madan Mohan Malviya Road, Sahibabad. A total of Rs. 31632 crores will be spent in the construction of railway track and this project. There will be a distance of about 10 km between every railway station.
