“First reservation chart would be prepared four hours prior to departure of a train while second and final one, 30 minutes before the train departs, a senior Railway official said.
According to the revised rules, booking will be allowed on internet as well as at reservation counters for a particular train, subject to availability of berths, even after the preparation of first reservation chart.

What type Benefits for Passengers: In Many Trains there is long waiting list but after chart preparation there is still some seats vacant..

If Chart Prepared and Still your Status Not CNF means there is no more chance to CNF.

If I book the through internet and if my ticket is WL6 in the 1st chart, then obviously I have plan l alternatively because how can one believe that my ticket will be confirmed in 4 hrs. In that situation if I cancel my ticket, will I get full return of my money or I have to wait till the train goes away. Please advice.
Only Waiting Ticket Cancellation charge deducted and rest Amount refunded.
Example: Ticket Amount 500 and Waiting Cancellation charge Rs 60 then you will Get Rs 440 Refund.
