Beaten up by RPF jawans to cargo Agent for not paying the bribe

THE CONFRONTATION
Gupta’s confrontation with the RPF started on December 18 after Chief Luggage Supervisor Ramprasad Meena filed a police complaint against his son Sumit and employee Shailesh, alleging theft of two parcels worth about Rs 60,000. According to Meena, while he had issued a receipt to them for 64 parcels, there were only 62 when he counted. On January 8, RPF PSI Dinesh Pandey, summoned the accused for questioning. Gupta and his brother Vimlesh also accompanied Sumit and Shailesh to the police station. Gupta alleges, “Pandey asked me to pay up Rs 1 lakh if I wanted my son to be let off. When I refused, he thrashed me. My brother, who was standing downstairs, recorded the goings-on on his cellphone,” alleges Gupta.
