Anti Tout Squad Checks at Kandivali, Goregaon & Surat
On the basis of information, preventive checks were conducted jointly by the ATS team alongwith RPF staff and assistance from the concerned local police, at a shop in Samta Nagar & a Cyber Café at Poisar, both in Kandivali (E) as well as at locations in Goregaon and Surat. During the check, it was found that several E – tickets were illegally generated on personal IDs & sold on premium by them. The culprits have accepted that they were indulging in illegal activity and accordingly, case has been registered against all the accused under section 143 of Railway Act.
During the course of preventive check, 93 nos. of E – Tickets to the value of Rs. 2.15 lakhs were recovered along with cash of Rs. 51,270/- , in addition to mobile phones, paper chits, reservation forms, visiting cards, Books with passenger details, CPUs, Dongles used for internet connection, bank passbook being others.
