22801/22802 VSKP-MAS Weekly Superfast Express News Train
As announced in the Railway Budget 2014-15, a new Weekly Superfast Express will be introduced between Chennai Central-Visakhapatnam on 18th January, 2015. The inaugural run of this train will run as a Special train.
The inaugural special (Train No.02802) will depart Chennai Central at 02:45 pm on 18thJanuary, 2015 and arrive Visakhapatnam at 05:00 am on the next day. Enroute, this special train will stop at Sullurpeta, Gudur, Nellore, ongole, Tenali, New Guntur, Vijayawada, Eluru, Tadepalligudem, Rajahmundry, Samalkot, Annavaram, Anakapalli and Duvvada Stations.
This train will resume its normal running on every Friday with effect from 23rdJanuary, 2015 from Visakhapatnam and on every Saturday from 24thJanuary, 2015 from Chennai Central.
Accordingly, Train No.22801 Visakhapatnam-Chennai Central Weekly Superfast Express will depart Visakhapatnam at 07:00 pm and arrive Chennai Central at 09:35 am on the next day. In the return direction, Tr. No.22802 Chennai Central-Visakhapatnam Weekly Superfast Express will depart Chennai Central at 09:10 pm and arrive Visakhapatnam at 11:30 am on the next day.
Enroute, these express trains will stop at Duvvada, Anakapalli, Annavaram, Samalkot, Rajahmundry, Tadepalligudem, Eluru, Vijayawada, New Guntur, Tenali, ongole, Nellore, Gudur and Sullurpeta. These trains will have 19 Coaches Viz., one AC II Tier, three AC III Tier, seven Sleeper Class, Six General Second Class and two Second Class Luggage Cum Barak Van Coaches.
