Unreserved Paperless Mobile Railway Ticketing App

Unreserved Paperless Mobile Ticketing supports Android and Windows operating system available in Google Play Store and Windows Store respectively. The app can be used for booking unreserved tickets at any of the stations of Secunderabad, Chennai, Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata.

Once the application is downloaded and installed, passenger has to register his mobile number through his smartphone or by visiting http://www.utsonmobile.indianrail.gov.in.

The passenger has to recharge R-wallet to start booking tickets. R-wallet recharge can only be done in multiples of Rs 100 subject to a maximum of Rs 5,000. Recharge of R-wallet can be done at all UTS railway booking counters or by visiting http://www.utsonmobile.indianrail.gov.in through Internet banking.

Booking of tickets is allowed only beyond 15 metres from the station/railway track. The booking of journey tickets is allowed within the radius of 5 km of the journey commencing station and for the platform tickets up to a distance of 2 km from the journey station. However, for booking/renewal of season tickets there is no such restriction.

There are some restrictions too – you can only book the tickets on the app outside the station and within 5 kms of the station where you are starting the journey. You can also buy platform tickets on the app but this is within 2 kms from the station. For season tickets there are no such restrictions and you can do the renewal upto 10 days in advance.

How to book a paperless mobile ticket:

  1. log onto the app
  2. Select ‘Book Ticket’ option
  3. Select ‘Normal Booking’ option
  4. Enter ‘from station’ and ‘to station’ details; click ‘done’
  5. Select passengers, class, train type, payment details, etc. Click OK
  6. Select Book Ticket
