Anti Touting Squad against unauthorized e-ticketing

In view of ensuing summer rush and to prevent unauthorized business of e-ticketing in twin cities and touting activities at Passenger Reservation System (PRS) centers over Secunderabad Division, Railway Protection Force (RPF) has constituted an Anti Touting Squad tocome down heavily against unauthorized e-ticketing business and touting activities.

The squad has started functioning from 16th March, 2015, during which 03 touts were arrested U/s 143 of Railways Act for booking e- tickets by creating fictitious personal IDs and doing business. In this connection, 25 E-tickets with an amount of Rs.56,677/- were seized. The arrested touts were produced before Hon’ble IInd Metropolitan Judge, for Railways/Court, Secunderabad and remanded for 07 days.

In this connection, passengers are advised not to purchase reserved tickets from unauthorised agents / touts to avoid trouble.
