Two women and four children were run over by a train

Two women and four children were run over by a train in Shahjahanpur district as they were walking across the tracks to cross an underlying river, police said.

Their bodies were found on rail tracks at Lalpur railway bridge near Khannaut river in Lodhpur area under Sadar Bazar police station on Wednesday morning. Two of the bodies were badly mangled.

“The women and children were run over by Six Down Punjab Lane Train, which connects Amristar with Howrah, and leaves from Shahjahanpur station at 9.15am every day. The incident took place after five minutes after the train left the last station,” said inspector J P Tiwari, Sadar Bazar police station. (http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com)
