Solar energy in metro and rail transport.
Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), GIZ, the Institution of Engineering and Technology (Delhi Local Network) and Institution of Railway Electrical Engineers are jointly organising a 1-day workshop on 10th January at the Metro Bhawan, New Delhi. About 200 officials, from the railways and other metro corporations across the country, are expected to participate in the event. The workshop will showcase and promote the use of solar energy in metro and rail transport. The success story behind DMRC and GIZ cooperation in the field of solar energy is an excellent example of how an idea can evolve into large-scale implementation of solar energy.
