RPF personnel recovered the stolen money of Rs. 1 Lakh in full
Prompt action by the alert Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel of Secunderabad Division led to the recovery of an amount of Rs. 1 Lakh (Rupees one Lakh), stolen from a Passenger travelling by Train No. 12655 Ahmedabad – Chennai Navjeevan Express by a Co-Passenger travelling along today i.e. 23rd February, 2015.
Going into the details of the incident, the victim, Jogu Sandeep, a resident of Nalgonda District was travelling from Anand to Khammam in the Second Class General Compartment by Navjeevan Express which left Ahmedabad yesterday. He was carrying an amount of Rs. 1 Lakh with him. Noticing that the same was stolen, the victim informed the RPF escort party who were on duty by the train.
The RPF team immediately undertook a search in the compartment and finding the behaviour of one Co-Passenger suspicious, frisked his belongings and recovered the stolen money of Rs. 1 Lakh in full. The accused was, Bantu Saidulu who was travelling from Vadodara to Khammam in the same compartment. The RPF personnel detrained the accused and handed him over to the Government Railway Police (GRP) Warangal for legal action.
