The feedback system has been introduced following a directive of railway minister Suresh Prabhu to the railway administration to establish direct connect with passengers.
The feedback system has evoked good response so far and railways has been able to address passengers’ grievances on the spot, said a Railway Board official. IRCTC has been entrusted with the task to collect feedback from passengers through an interactive voice response system (IVRS) on the number 139.
