NEO IRCTC ticket booking software illegal reservation business
As per Press Released by Central Railway Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai. 42 e-rail reservation tickets valued Rs 1,15,425/- were recovered.
Railway Protection Force Team Commercial and Vigilance Departments of Central Railway on getting information from a source, raided a shop named “Ramesh Electrical” shop no 48, GM Road, Opp. HP petrol pump, Amar Mahal, Chembur on 20.10.2017. During check the two persons namely Sandeep K. Sharma & Shivkumar B. Gupta available on shop admitted that they are procuring e-rail reservation tickets for their customers using personal user IDs and taking a premium for the same.
Further enquiry revealed that the aforementioned outsiders are using illegal software named “NEO” for this illegal business of e-rail reservation tickets. Further enquiry revealed that they have used 41 personal user IDs for procurement of e-rail reservation tickets from IRCTC website using illegal software. 42 e-rail reservation tickets valued Rs 1,15,425/- were recovered from them & a case has been registered vide Crime no 2974 u/s 143 Railway Act at RPF Post, Kurla.
