MRVC has proposed projects worth Rs11,500 crore
In a boost to the city’s suburban railway infrastructure, the Mumbai Railway Vikas Corporation (MRVC) has proposed projects worth Rs11,500 crore under the third phase of the Mumbai Urban Transport Project (MUTP), which will soon be sent to the railway board for approval.
The railways plan to revamp 20 suburban stations, 10 each on the Central and Western Railway, apart from building the rail link between Airoli and Kalwa, doubling of the Panvel-Karjat line, quadrupling of the
Virar-Dahanu lines, and trespass control measures.
