As per Press Released by Western Railway has always come up with great initiative to support the “nari shakti“. दुनिया में समर्पित ‘लेडीज़ स्पेशल’ ट्रेन शुरू करने या स्टेशनों पर बेबी फीडिंग केंद्र स्थापित करने, महिलाओं के कोचों के अंदर सीसीटीवी कैमरा और टॉक-बैक सिस्टम उपलब्ध कराने से, महिला यात्रियों को हमेशा रेलवे के लिए प्राथमिकता रही है।

Continuing in this series, Western Railway has started another great initiative named “Meri Saheli” to provide safety and security of women passengers during their entire journey.

According to a press release issued by Shri Sumit Thakur – Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, the objective of the “Meri Saheli” initiative is to provide safety and security of lady passengers travelling by trains in their entire journey from originating station till destination station.

पहल के तहत, महिला अधिकारी और कर्मचारियों की एक टीम बनाई गई है। टीम महिला यात्रियों की पहचान करने के लिए लेडीज कोच सहित सभी यात्री डिब्बों का दौरा करेगी। उनकी यात्रा का विवरण जैसे, कोच नंबर और सीट नंबर को टीम द्वारा नोट किया जाएगा, खासकर अगर एक महिला ट्रेन में अकेले यात्रा कर रही हो।

The passengers will be briefed about RPF Security Helpline No. 182, GRP Security Helpline No. 1512 and other precautions for example, not to take food with strangers, buying food from IRCTC authorized stalls o­nly, taking care of luggage. टीम उन्हें किसी भी आपात स्थिति के लिए ट्रेन एस्कॉर्ट पार्टी से संपर्क करने और 182 डायल करने के लिए स्वतंत्र महसूस करने की भी सलाह देगी। यात्रियों के विवरण को उनके अंतिम गंतव्य तक पहुंचने तक यात्रियों और यात्रियों को उनकी सुविधानुसार पूरा करने के लिए डिवीजनों और ज़ोन को बताना होगा। At the end of the journey, a feedback will be collected from the passenger regarding their journey experience and safety measures taken.

Shri Thakur stated that this unique initiative has introduced in two trains, i.e, Train No. 12955 Mumbai Central – Jaipur Superfast Express and Train No. 02925 Bandra Terminus – Amritsar Special train.

“मेरी सहेली” पहल न केवल महिला यात्रियों को सुरक्षा और सुरक्षा प्रदान करेगी, बल्कि मानसिक शांति और आरामदायक यात्रा का अनुभव भी प्रदान करेगी।
