If amount getting debited from customer account and ticket not issued, IRCTC will refund the entire Fare and IRCTC service charges electronically (as credit to the relevant credit /debit card account used for the transaction), but the bank/card transaction charges are likely to be forfeited.
IRCTC’s payment reconciliation team works on a 24 x 7 basis, IRCTC offers no guarantees whatsoever for the accuracy or timeliness of the refunds reaching the Customers card/bank accounts.
This is on account of the multiplicity of organizations involved in processing of online transactions, the problems with Internet infrastructure currently available and working days/holidays of financial institutions.

I was booking a train ticket on 21/04/2003 (Transaction ID : 311111662951) and I have not gotten a ticket. but the amount of Rs 4236.10 is debited from my Union Bank of India account. Kindly check and refund at your earliest.
It’s Auto credit if ticket not book and amount debited, For more dial 139 for more confirmation or send email.

I was booking a train ticket on 06/10/22 (Transaction ID : 100003708330927) and I was not getting ticket but amount of Rs 5454.12 is debited from my Federal Bank account . Kindly check and refund at the earliest.

i was booking a train ticket on 27/04/22 and i was not getting ticket but amount of Rs 667 is debited from my HDFC A/C . till date i am still waiting for my refund. kindly check.
Transaction status was Reservation Failure. I did this twice and both times failed transaction
Make Sure that transaction fail….. Check under Transaction Menu the status. If found fail you will get complete debited amount to same booking account within 3-4 working days also depend on Bank and wallet process.

For date of journey on 23 February 2019 by Totkal reservation. Amount not received from bank. Failure reason- No response from bank.
Payment status- Late confirmation received from bank on 21 February 2019 at 11 a.m. But an amount Rupees 490/- not received till date. Please rectify the same case.
Totkal reservation from Palasa to Howrah station on 23 February 2019 for sleeper class Falknama train no 12704.
Today, 20th November, I try to book 2 tickets travel by 3rd AC to Mumbai from Chennai for 8th Feb 2019.
Train no. 12164 Booking transaction ID 100001539439546 and the other transaction number was not available.
Transaction status was Reservation Failure. I did this twice and both times failed transaction.
In the meantime ticket amounts were debited from my account twice.
Request immediate action to refund the money to my account.

I booked tickets with the condition that one out of two passengers be allotted a lower seat.even if message was for non availability of lower seat for even a single passenger, but by that time amount was deducted from my account as i was using debit card i could not realise it and repeated the same procedure hoping that transaction was failed but this time I had to face the same problem and in the mean time rs 5170*2= 10340 was deducted I try to contact via toll free no but could not succeeded and so far not received any refund.
Refunds on account of failed transactions are not forthcoming from irctc because of the involvement of Paytm M. I am yet to get my amount of RS.4440 even after a week.

Refunds on account of failed transactions are not forthcoming from irctc because of the involvement of Paytm M. I am yet to get my amount of RS.4440 even after a week. God save the innocent IRCTC users who get only machine generated replies in lieu of refund.
