Where and How to Book Retiring Rooms? OR
Step by Step instructions for How to book Online Retiring Rooms
- First please visit irctctourism.com (Type www.irctctourism.com in your internet browser OR Search Retiring Room in Google).
- Click on Accommodation, and then Click on “Railways Retiring Rooms”. Please see the below Page for Example.
Click on “Railways Retiring Rooms”. - Now Enter Your PNR No. (For Book Retiring Room You must Have Valid PNR Number) The Page Look Like this Just Enter your PNR Number as Given as in your Booked Ticket.
- After Making PNR Click On Search You will get the PNR details as Given below in the Page:
- If you want to book Retiring Room at source/originating station then click on ‘Book on source’ or if you want to book Retiring Room at destination station then click on ‘Book on destination’.
- Choose your Reservation source, Check in Date, Checkout date, Bed Type and A/C status.
- After Clicking “Book on source” if your Reservation Station does not show then click on “Book on Source Principal” or After Clicking “Book on Destination” if your Reservation Station does not show then click on “Book on Destination Principal”.
- After filling in all the details Please click on “Check Availability” (Check OR Uncheck Name as Per your requirement )
- It will show the occupancy availability with details.
- Select the Room no and Slot Duration that you would like to book. After selecting, click on “Proceed”. (Please follow the below picture for understand)
- It will redirect you to login page, login with your user name & password registered with IRCTC.If you are not registered user choose “Guest login”.
- You will get the complete booking details.
- For each passenger select “Room no” in which he/she would like to accommodate.
- Then select the Id card type and card No.
- Click on Proceed button.
- It will show complete booking details.
- Click on “Make Payment” for payment.
- Select you payment option.
- Now Done. Take Printout with you.

Yes you Can. It need Confirmed/RAC PNR number Only for booked retiring rooms…
my PNR no is 8461145XXX..i am trying to book the retiring room- check in 20th december (arrival of my train) and check out 21st december- but the website responds saying ” slot of available for this PNR”. however it is allowing a booking for 19th december, how can this be possible when i will be on train travelling on 19th and will reach howrah on 20th december. please help.
The booking available as per slots of rooms….I suggest check with different typed rooms.. Minimum 12 Hrs to Maximum 48 Hrs.
For one passenger, one Single Bed Room or One Double Bed Room or One Bed in Dormitory can be can be allocated.
For two passengers, One Double Bed Room or Two Bed in Dormitory can be allocated.
For three passengers, (one Double Bed Room + One Single Bed Room) or Three Bed in Dormitory can be allocated.
For four passengers, Two Double Bed Rooms or Four bed in Dormitory can be allocated.
For five passengers, Two Double Bed Rooms or Five bed in Dormitory can be allocated.
For Six passengers, Two Double Bed Rooms or Six bed in Dormitory can be allocated.

dear sir i have one problem i was booked retiring room at rameshwaram from 25/02/2016 to 27/02/2016 for six persons but i found booked the said for four persons then i was cancelled the same pl advised me sir how to booked for six person to retiring room for rameshwaram for the said period. secondly,sir my another ticket, i was booked for four persons vide transaction id is 0001597441.please confirmation i wanted the same is booked for room no 5 family, because i wanted booked for six persons pl.sir very very urgently intimate me

For two passengers, One Double Bed Room or Two Bed in Dormitory can be allocated.

Only from the Account of irctc where tickets was booked. There is no other way….for irctc users.

I am traveling from Secunderabad on Nov 4th at 8PM. I want to reserve a deluxe room from morning 6AM Nov 4th to 7PM on Nov 4th.The website doesn’t allow me to choose Check in Date and Checkout Date both to be Nov 4th. It gives a cryptic error, saying slot not available. So I made a wild guess and chose the Check-in date as Nov 3rd and Checkout date as Nov 4th (There is no option to select from Nov 4th to Nov 5th). Then it takes me to next screen that shows Checkin time as Nov 3rd 7AM and Checkout as 4th 7AM. Obviously, this doesn’t work as I don’t want to checkout at 7AM on Nov 4th.
The website should explain what does the Check in and Checkout time means if there are assumptions made instead leaving to our guesswork. One possible guess is that 7AM means 7AM to 8PM time window. Even with this assumption my problem is still not solved because I can’t reach Secunderabad till 4th morning 6AM so I run the risk of not showing up before 3rd cutoff of 8PM and hence my reservation gets cancelled on account of No Show.
Please advise how to make my reservation.

As i Can check the timing of booking double Bed deluxe room are not as per your requirement/timing. And also there is dormitory facility but found only for Male Passenger Rooms are available.
