GM Meeting on Punctuality drive and cable-cutting incidents
As per Press Released by NCR On the 3rd May, 2018, weekly punctuality/safety meeting was held in the Office of GM/NCR in the Vindhya Conference Hall, Chaired by GM/NCR Shri M.C. Chauhan. Present in the meeting were all the PHODs/CHODs of NCR and the DRMs of the three Divisions of NCR-Allahabad, Agra and Jhansi who participated via videoconferencing. The meeting began with GM/NCR launching a 15 days’ punctuality drive in order to enhance the punctuality of mail-express trains over NCR. It was also decided that in order to check CRO cases, by the time walls are constructed and fencing is done, trenches can be made along the tracks in the vulnerable sections of the track, so that stray animal are prevented from coming on to the track. GM/NCR expressed concern over cases of cutting of communications/signalling cables in NCR by outside agencies and advised that stringent penal action should undertaken against those found to be involved in cable-cutting incidents.
In this meeting also discuss Reducing Loco Failures, checking brake binding cases, reducing signal failures, reducing response and restoration time to a minimum in case of asset failures, improving cleanliness on important stations, effectively controlling unauthorized vending through continuous vigilant action were the other subjects that came up for discussion.
