ATS with RPF Checks many areas in Borivali, Daman, Vapi
On the basis of information, preventive checks were conducted jointly by the ATS team along with RPF staff at stationery and general stores shop at Daman in Vapi & another at Daulat Nagar, Borivali. During the check, it was found that several E – tickets were illegally generated on personal IDs & sold on premium by them. The culprits have accepted that they were indulging in illegal activity and accordingly, case has been registered against all the accused under section 143 of Railway Act for initiating further legal proceedings.
During the course of preventive check, 25 nos. of E – Tickets to the value of Rs. 53000 were recovered along with cash of Rs. 4400/-, in addition to mobile phones, CPUs, reservation forms, visiting cards, diaries, registers and books with passenger details.
Western Railway requests all its customers to purchase their reservation tickets from approved sources only, either online or from PRS counters or authorized Rail Travel Service Agents.
