Indian Railways has issued operational notices cancelling over 38 major express, premium, and passenger train services terminating at or originating from New Delhi (NDLS) and Hazrat Nizamuddin (NZM) stations on October 9 and October 10, 2026.
The precautionary cancellations follow security advisories and expected road traffic congestion around central Delhi terminals during the planned Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) demonstration at Jantar Mantar.
Important Transit Advisory for Passengers
- Affected Terminals: Only train services arriving at or departing from New Delhi and Hazrat Nizamuddin are affected by these cancellations.
- Unaffected Stations: Regular train operations continue at Anand Vihar Terminal (ANVT), Old Delhi (DLI), Delhi Sarai Rohilla (DEE), and Delhi Cantonment (DEC).
- Automatic Refunds: Full ticket refunds for e-tickets booked via IRCTC will be automatically processed to passengers’ original payment accounts without requiring a TDR filing.
