How to Check your Cancelled or Failed E-Ticket Refund Process/Status from IRCTC website?

Many times we cancelled Our Ticket OR We failed to book ticket OR any communication failure but payment deducted and that after we have no way except Wait for refund. Here You will get information that how you will check your cancelled ticket or debited money refund process status through your IRCTC Account.

1) Login Into your irctc.co.in Account

2) Click on My Transaction Option.

3) In My Transaction Option under Choose Refund Status of Cancelled Ticket.

4) On Cancelled Refund Page you will get all the details of Your Cancelled Tickets. Just Click on Transaction ID which you want to check.

If you found Any Issue Just Post your Issue in Comments, You will Get Best Solution.

        Debited Amount Auto Credit to Same Bank Account Within 2-4 Working Days, It’s also depend on Bank. I am sure you will already Get your Refund or very Soon.

        I had reserved tickets in train no.16307 from Aluva to Calicut for journey on 28.8.2016. My PNR NO is 46D55C65B9.( E-ticket). This train was cancelled due to a train accident. Although refund was to be granted automatically in such cases, I have not received any message regarding the refund. Request for early refund.

    I have booked a ticket for two passengers through irctc mobile app. later on I have cancelled ticket for one passenger through the same app. I have received a message also on my mobile, the amount will be refunded in your account. But I do not find any of the menus about the tracking facility for refund status. kindly suggest where to look. I tried to look in the normal way, login into the irctc.co.in from the same account but it shows no records found. please clarify

    Hello Admin,

    I booked my ticket from Bangalore to Chennai using the IRCTC mobile App. I made the mistake of booking it on the wrong date inititally, later I canceled the ticket and made a fresh booking for another date.

    The booking and cancelling were done on the 24th of October 2015. I also received an SMS stating that I would receive a refund of 120.

    I’ve two doubts:
    1) Should I be filing a TDR for the refund of my cancelled ticket?
    2) How long might it take to process my refund?

      As you told you got cancellation Message, Means your ticket cancelled successfully, Refund also depend on banking process. May be More Delayed due to Last week 4-5 bank holiday.

      You can check the Cancellation process by login in to your irctc.co.in account.

      In E-Ticket you can’t Cancelled ticket Directly through account, You need to File TDR that time.

    I have cancelled the e-ticket with PNR No-2540168615 & Transaction Id-100000359492906 on 18 Nov. I have checked in the refund history its showing that the amount is refunded but till now i haven’t recieved the refund amount in my account.       In Email mention the Refund Amount Transaction Number Booked/Cancelled Date of Journey, Date of Cancellation and PNR.

      Make Sure from which bank account you booked your ticket….

      Sometimes due to bank it will take some time to credit, So keep waiting also you may send email to irctc for that.

    I booked multiple tickets for Date of Journey to be 24/05/2015. but due to some issues, train was cancelled. I asked my agent to file TDR and get us refunds. But it has been lots of time and still I have not received refund. I have been in touch with agent and he says Railway has not refunded him, So can you please help me on this as I suspect that agent is not giving me my money.

    One of the PNR is 8334320361 with transaction id: 0950952239. I also have another 3 tickets of same journey, which I would provide you.

    As the ticket was booked through agent’s login, I’m not able to know.

      Please check the Refund Status, Which is available Under your irctc.co.in account,
      As per Rules Fully Waiting E-Tickets are Auto cancelled After Chart Preparation and money will be refunded in respective account electronically.

      Also you may drop email to irctc care for that…

    I have booked a tatkal ticket from KLD to LTTon 20/02/2016,when i book book the ticket I consider a book only if confirm bearth are allerted and then proceed to pay then payment was made successfully and confirms bearth are not available the ticket was not booked and amount was deducted.       As you already Check transaction failed. You will get your 100% Amount back withing Week Automatically….Don’t Worry it’s happen some times.

      Still Worried Get more confirm details by send email to irctc through your registered email ID. Don’t forget mention the Transaction number.

    I have booked 3 tickets from KMU to TBM on 14/02/2016. When i was booked at the time ticket status shown it as waiting list. Finally 2 tickets got confirmed and another 1 ticket was in waiting list. Only two passengers have been traveled on that day. Still i didn’t receive any refund amount for waiting list ticket.       You not Confirmed that all 3 Ticket with separate Forms means after Booking you have Three PNR or Three Passenger in Single PNR.

      If all are with Same PNR then As 2 passenger got Confirmed and Traveled and Other One not Traveled. Make Sure you will File TDR within Given time Period OR You cancelled one Ticket before Chart Preparation.

      If all are separate PNRs then it’s auto Cancelled for Waiting list E-Tickets. You will Get Auto Refunded. If not Email to care@irctc.co.in

    I had booked my tatkal ticket on 13jan 2016
    As my ticket didn’t get confrm so I got a msg from irctc that the money refunded to my account
    But till now I used to call the customer care every day .I also mail all the documents like my pnr no.4835789666,ACCOUNT details ,and today they were telling that the forward my msg to there higher authority and they had given me a TKT No.2923153…plz help me out of this situation ..

    I had booked a ticket from ADI to NDLS for 23rd Feb 2016 but inview of Jat arkshan on these days, the train 12957 Swarn Jayanti Rajdhani Exp was cancelled according to local news paper and ticket was not used. This matter was reported twice to care@irctc.co.in but they replied that train was not cancelled.

    Sir, I was booking a railway e-ticket through irctc web site on 12 Apr from Anand vihar terminals railway station to allahabad station bt the transaction was not fully succses due to network error.Again i hav repit the same process and it had same issued.My SBI account has been deducted two time with Rs 504 each for reservation through irctc whc was not succeeded.       As you said it’s Failed due to network issue. Please ensure and Check your Failed transaction status. If both transaction found under Failed transaction then it will auto Credit don’t worry.

    Dear Sir/madam

    I have booked train from NDLS to GAYA for 5 passengers for 8th Dec 2015, out of them, only 1 confirmed and rest was in waiting status. None of the passenger travelled . I file TDR as well for the same on 20th Dec 2015. Even i contacted to irctc customer care as well, the ticket ID of the same is – #2602541. Also i contacted the Eastern railway as well. But i didn’t get the fruitfull answer from anybody. The estimated time period of the refund is 90 days. That is also passed away. My PNR number is -2111558867, Transaction Number – 100000349526810.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    The payement was debited from my account but because of internet connection faliure the ticket was not properly booked and i did not get my PNR no. and other details. I checked my IRCTC account from there i confirm in ‘my transaction’ details but ‘no records found’ was written there..

      Make Sure ticket was Not Book for Confirmation you can check the Failed Transaction List. And If Transaction Failed you will Get Get Full Debited Amount Backed withing 2-3 working days.

      You cancelled in 9th June 2016. Check the Cancellation status, the refund initiated same account within 3-4 working days.

    Hello i booked 3 tickets with pnr: 8149065377 from bandra to unjha on 7/7/16 morning… After sometime i cancelled my tickets due to change in plan.. According to policy 180rs cancellation charges has been deducted, that is ok… But i haven’t received the remaining refund yet infact i got the message on 8/7/16 that you have received a refund of rs795 but today when i checked the balance i haven’t received any refund yet. What pathetic service, i want my refund of 795 back asap… And more worse is customer service, they don’t even pick up the call.. I wasted my balance… Irctc will never improve their services…. Irctc sucks… Mentally frustrated..

    I have booked an eticket from panvel to shornur on train no: 12218 ( Kerala S Kranti ). The date of journey was 22.10.2016. The PNR no : 2123849148. Since the ticket status was waiting list, i cancelled the ticket on 20.10.2016 ( Cancellation ID : 100000123925090 ). i received intimation vide SMS that the ticket was cancelled and the refund will be done soon. But till date ( 06.11.2016 ) no refund was received. On checking the refund status in IRCTC , it is showing “SENT TO BANK”.     Dear Sir,

    I Sebom Mukherjee trying to book a tikit from NJP to JP date of jurney was 23 December. First I tried to book the tikit but failed to book and amount deducted from my account . Then my wife also try to do the same again amount deducted but no tikit issued .

    I Booked a e-ticket PNR Number 8253151834 for 6 passengers under WL for train number 11019 to journey on 11-12-2016. After that my e-ticket status turned into RLWL. Finally i got only one passenger confirmation on the time of journey where remaining 5 passengers are at RL WL. So i canceled the journey without canceled the e-ticket.

    Will the refund apply for the remaining 5 passengers ticket fare or not?

    How can i apply for it?

      As you confirmed One Ticket was Confirmed and Other in Waiting, So auto-done process not apply Here, You need to File TDR for Other Waiting Ticket Cancellation within Time Period. For more details send email to irctc.

    HI,
    I tried to book a ticket from HTE to YPR and i have checked “Book, only if at least 1 lower berth is allotted” check box, and proceeded with the booking.. But i think any lower seat was not available, thats why i could not able to book ticket, but money got deducted from my bank account.
    I want to ask weather i will get my money back.? Is there any procedure to get the money back.?

    I have book a ticket for four person to travel from LTT to HTE at LTT Hatia Exp. Journey date was 19th dec 2016 . But I cancelled the ticket on 12th Dec 2016 .. on IRCTC account it is showing that my refund amount is transferred to my bank account . But on my bank account I still didn’t got the refund amount ..

    Hi,

    I tried booking train tickets through irctc e-booking using paytm wallet on 23/12/2016. The amount was deducted from my paytm wallet, but the ticket booking was not successful. The status in paytm transaction history shows Success, but the failed transaction history in IRCTC shows ‘Payment Failed’ for transaction id 100000689926728. I’ve got a confirmation from Paytm customer care that the transaction was successful from their end and i need to contact IRCTC for the refund.

    I wrote an email to care@irctc.co.in and got assigned a ticket #4670147, but there has been no progress after that. Is there a way to track the progress with this ticket id? How many days does it usually take for irctc to respond to the complaint tickets? Is there any other process to initiate the refunds for failed transactions?

    I booked KYJ to NDLS through irctc connect app. I cancelled my ticket on 22.12.2016 and after 12 days till now I don’t get my refund. The main problem is that I can’t check my refund status in http://www.irctc.co.in there is no record of that pnr number in this site but it shows in the app that ticket is cancel mod and no refund status is available. When I try to login through the link given in the app “services.irctc.co.in” it show as “you have been migrated to next generation e ticketing website of IRCTC. Please login through irctc.co.in”. When will I get my refund or how can I check the status? Please help.

    I have tried to book two tickets in BHAGIRATHI EXP (13103) on 23rd December, 2016. But, unfortunately I didn’t get ticket and Rs. 190 deducted from my bank account.
    Transaction ID is 100000689141297. IRCTC Refund Status shows REFUNDED. But, in bank statement we haven’t found any amount till now. Please have a look in this matter.

    I cancelled PNR 8351884673 on 26th Dec 2016. The status shows that the amount has been refunded in Paytm bank. But i would like to bring you in notice that i did the payment from my Debit card and i havn’t received the payment till now in my Debit card, i didnt use any Paytm account for booking. Please let me know the reason for the same, it would be very helpful.

    This is Arvind Verma, I had booked ticket through irctc login internet on 23 December 2016 on date 02/01/2017 Chennai to Bhopal for two passenger using paytm gateway for my UCO Bank debit visa card. but it’s show waiting list on 1st January before train schedules. I had cancel my ticket through using Irctc login Id.
    But till date I am not receiving my refunds amount in my bank account and in my irctc login id shown cancel ticket refunds amount status is paytmag to sent to bank status.

      Don’t Worry, The refund money first gets credited in paytm’s virtual bank “PAYTMAG” and that after, the account from where the payment has been made is identified correctly and that particular account is credited within 2–3 working days.

    In the month of September,2016 I have cancelled 5 tickets of PNR No-4740368183 ,Train:17016 of 02/10/16, fare amount Rs.3475/-. But, surprisingly, till now I haven`t received the refund amount to my account.This is not fair on the part of department like IRCTC.That is my hard earned money and not black money. I will be thankful to the staff of IRCTC Dept.if anybody reads this message and helps me to get my refund amount.With that amount I can pay the fees of my son`s school for one quarter.But it is very small amount for IRCTC.

    However I received the refund of ₹765 on 25/01/2017 having reference number 210117(source reflected in my bank statement).

    Hi,

    I Booked a Ticket for My Mom in the Name Cesily on 28.01.2017. I canceled my ticket from Chennai to Tiruppur which is booked on 28.01.2017 for the Train No 12679 Coimbatore Express. But My refund amount is not credited in My A/c.
    I make my payment trough City Union Bank Net banking. My A/c No is 50010101089dDDe. In Refund Coloum of IRTC Bank Name is shown as KMB. I dont have any A/c on that bank. Kindly Refund the Amount to My City Union Bank.

      Amount Credited under same account fro Amount debited while booking. Make sure you done payment through Which Bank.

    I have booked a rail e- ticket on 20th January 2017 from Hyderabad to CST Mumbai and vice versa ,ticket from my irctc account through online. Due to some reasons , I cancelled tickets on 30 th January 17. I have received a message from irctc you will get refund amount to your bank. But not deposited till now. I have checked in refund status in irctc website it is showing that the amount has refunded on 31 st January, but actually has deposited in my ICICI bank account. My transaction ID is like 100000719934330 and 100000719934231. The amount is 1540 and 840. Please respond for this.

      Please Send Email through Registered mail ID with details to irctc for Get information.

      Note: Amount credited in Same debit Account while booking.

    Irctc account not showing this transaction in to refund process they said that payment is failed but payment is debited in my account n bank also said that transaction from their side is successful then what can i do?

      The Amount Debited from your Account was Auto credited within 2-4 working days as per IRCTC Rules.

    I booked two tickets from chennai to bhubaneswar both up down but unfortunately the transaction was failed and the amount debited from my account on 2nd Feb..How can i confirm that it wil be credited in my account.? Thank u

      Simply Check your Account Transactions, and also Match the same debited amount credited into your bank account. Also you may Send Email to IRCTC through your registered Mail ID for More Information.

      Failed/Cancelled Ticket Refunds Within 2-4 Working Days Automatically, So as Per you Mention the Date of Failed Transaction I am sure account Already Credited.

      As per Rules Refunds Take 2-4 Working Days. Also you can Track through your IRCTC Account.

    dear sir i am cancelled my on 8/2/17 but till now my refund not come i spoke to your cuctomer care they told me 6 days for refund process.bur your irctc site showing rufunded on 10/2/2017.but i am not getting my money till now.otherwise i am contact my they are told no money return back to pls ask railway what can i do.this is your governments cashless policy,pls tell to our PM.this is very worst system.take immediate action and reply,thanks regards.thangadurai.chennai

      Pleas Check Properly, I’m sure till date the refund process must Done.

      Anyway Please Cross Check the Refund Amount with your Bank Transaction and Supposed still you will Get Refund Send email to IRCTC care@irctc.co.in, etickets@irctc.co.in through your registered eail ID, Must Mention All details like PNR and Transaction ID of Cancelled Ticket ETC. You will Get Complete details regarding the Processed.

      In Money Debited but Ticket not Booked Cases Auto 100% Refund done within 2-4 Working Days Don’t Worry.

      Also you may track the refund status through your irctc account.
